Puppy Class...start off on the right paw!
Let Canine Learning Centers show you how to effectivelycommunicate, build a strong relationship, and bond with your new puppy.

Puppy Development for puppy's age 9 to 16 weeks old

Studies show this age to be an imprinting period, a crucial time when your pups personality is forming. A well run puppy class is the perfect environment to bond, socialize, pinpoint any behavior problems, influence learning and bring out the absolute best in your pup! Enrollment is limited to 8 pups max per class. The classes are held indoors for maximum safety. Puppy class is a wise investment and we guarantee a worthwhile and educational experience for puppy and family. Children 5 years or older are welcome to attend!

Puppy Socialization

It takes humans 18 to 21 years to mature whereas dogs mature in about 1 - 1½ years. A week in our childhood is a relatively short period, but to a puppy it represents a large portion of its puppyhood. Its important to pack in as many good and varied experiences as possible into the imprinting period (up to 16 wks of age) The more pleasant experiences a puppy has at a very early age the more confident he will be. An inexperienced or insecure dog is most likely to display aggressive (barking or biting) or nervous behavior towards new and novel experiences, people and dogs. Our puppy class focuses on stimulating pup's learning, building confidence and preventing aggression.

Puppy Play

Puppies learn the body language and signals necessary for adequate communication with other dogs in a low risk environment.

Novelty

Puppies are exposed to a variety of obstacles and unfamiliar objects to help broaden their outlook and increase awareness and confidence.

Handling and Grooming

A new puppy must learn to enjoy being handled, held and restrained by humans. The "settle" exercise we teach ensures that your dog will feel less fear and will be easier to handle by your vet, groomer or you.
